This week, we celebrate the feast of St. Teresa of Ávila, a great woman of prayer and a Doctor of the Church. She reminds us that prayer is not simply about saying words, but about spending time with Jesus and growing closer to Him. In our busy lives, we can easily forget to make time for God. St. Teresa teaches us that even a few quiet moments with the Lord can bring peace, strength, and renewed faith. As she beautifully reminds us, “Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you; all things are passing; God never changes.” May her example inspire us to deepen our prayer, trust God in our daily struggles, and keep Jesus at the center of our lives and families. St. Teresa of Ávila, pray for us!

As we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, I am reminded of how comforting it is to know that we can always turn to Mary in prayer. The Rosary has been a special prayer for generations of Catholics, bringing families together and helping us place our worries, hopes, and loved ones into God’s hands. I encourage you to take a few moments each day to pray the Rosary, especially with your family. Sometimes life is so busy that we forget to slow down and simply be with God. A few minutes of prayer can bring peace to our hearts and remind us that we are never alone. I pray that Our Lady of the Rosary will watch over each of you, protect your families, and lead you always closer to her Son, Jesus.

On October 4, we celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a beloved saint who followed Jesus with a simple and joyful heart. He reminds us that true holiness is found in humility, love, and care for others and for all of God’s creation. He was able to see God’s presence in everywhere- in human beings, animals and in nature.
St. Francis chose to live simply so that he could give more of himself to God and to those in need. His life teaches us that we do not need great things to become holy. Small acts of kindness, forgiveness, compassion, and love can bring us closer to Christ.
May St. Francis inspire each of us to live with a peaceful heart, to care for one another, and to recognize God’s goodness in the beauty of creation. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

Welcome to a new year of our Religious Education and Sunday Catechism classes! Our Classes will begin Sunday October 18th. I am especially happy to welcome all our new DRE Ann Haring, children and young people, along with their parents, teachers, and volunteers. What a blessing it is to see our parish family growing in faith together.
Our children are not only learning about Jesus-they are learning to know Him, love Him, and follow Him in their daily lives. As parents and a parish community, we have the beautiful responsibility of helping them grow in faith and become joyful witnesses of Christ. Let us pray for our students and teachers as we begin this new year. May God bless our families and guide our children always closer to Jesus and His Church. Welcome back, and may this be a wonderful year of faith and grace!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
On September 14, we celebrated the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The Cross is a beautiful reminder of how much Jesus loves each of us. He gave His life for us so that we may have hope, forgiveness, and new life. Each of us carries our own crosses in life – worries, illness, family struggles, loneliness, or difficult moments. The Cross of Jesus reminds us that we never carry these burdens alone. When we place our struggles into His hands, He gives us strength, peace, and the grace to continue. When I look at the Cross, I am reminded that we never carry them alone. Jesus walks with us, strengthens us, and gives us the grace to keep going. May we always turn to the Cross in times of difficulty and remember: God’s love is greater than any burden we carry. May the Lord bless you and your families.
