This Sunday we celebrate “Mother’s Day”. It is a time for us to pray for our mothers whether living or deceased. It is time for us to say thank you for the many moments they have shared in our lives. There is also a group of women that live the roles of being a mother to us, that being Grandmother, Godmother, and those who share as our guardians in many other times of our life. May God care for them!

We are in the midst of the 2023 Annual Bishop’s Appeal. Our goal is $67,800.00. In the 2023 Appeal we have reached 50% of our goal.I ask the 120 households who gave to the appeal to consider giving a gift. I will be leaving the 2023 Appeal envelopes at the doors of the Church. Thank you for your faithful support.

We have concluded the Religious Education classes for the year. It was a difficult year with the passing of Denise Bartelson, and I would like to thank the Catechists for their witness given to our children and their families. I would like to thank Jenifer Volturno for her leadership in overseeing the class and in preparing our students for their sacraments.

On Saturday May 6th, 14 children of our parish will be receiving their First Communion. We know how special this day is in the lives of our children. The children are presently attending their preparation program. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for their special day.
