For the next two weekends we will be asking you to update your census form. If your address or phone number has changed, please complete and return the form. We welcome our new parishioners. You may begin your registration process by completing the census form.

The Bishop will be awarding the 2025 Diocesan St. Augustine awards on Saturday September 27, 2025. The St. Augustine award recognizes the volunteer service of the recipient. Two parishioners from our parish will receive the award, Lucinda Timpanelli and Patrick O’Keefe. We congratulate them and for their service to our parish.

What will the Catholic Church look like in 2030? We are at a pivotal point! The parish needs your help and your gifts. The parish needs new people in ministry and sharing their talents. We are looking for people to serve as help support during our Faith Formation Program. Please call Marcia Lopez (203-377-0928. If you can help! We are seeking people to serve on the parish council. The Women of Grace has had a very good beginning year, as we begin the second year, we are looking for women and their gifts to serve on a Leadership Team, to move the parish woman’s ministry to the next level. If interested Contact Msgr. Ryan. In the next bulletin, we will be seeking your assistance at weekend Liturgies. We need Readers, Eucharistic Minister , Greeters and Ushers. The Parish Council met on Saturday August 23rd. We are beginning a process to fill 3 positions that are open on the Council. The Council meets seven times a year and in an advisory role to the pastor. The Council has met and discussed many topics since re-organization in 2023. You will find in the coming weeks the contact information for the Council representative to contact for further information.

What is a parish council?

A Catholic parish council is a representative body that advises the parish pastor in pastoral matters by helping to foster parish activity, identify needs, develop pastoral plans, and coordinate ministries, ultimately uniting the pastor and parishioners to fulfill the Church’s mission. Established after the Second Vatican Council, these councils provide a framework for the laity to share in the responsibility of pastoral care and offer input to the pastor, who remains the final decision-maker.

As part of our St. Michael’s Lent program. We will be offering three Prayer and faith sharing sessions. Our prayer leader will be Colin Petramale the Director of Discipleship for the Catholic Community of Stratford. Please join us on Tuesday September 2 at 7-8pm , Tuesday September 16th at 10-11 am, and Sunday September 28 at 1230pm. All sessions will be in Madonna Hall.
