Dear Friends,

Last year this weekend was the beginning of the “Pandemic Lockdown”. We were unable to celebrate and share in the special liturgies of Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter. This year I ask you to pray with me for renewal and the hope of Jesus’ Resurrection. We will live-stream our parish liturgies during the week, and hope that many people will join us in-person. I will communicate with you by CallingPost to remind you of dates and times.

Let us join together in prayer as we walk with Jesus in His Passion, Death and Resurrection.

Peace,

Msgr. Ryan

Dear Friends,
Friday March 19th will be a special celebrationday in the Diocese and in our Parish. In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Saint Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church, Pope Francis proclaimed a special “Year of Saint Joseph” with the release of his Apostolic Letter Patris Corde (“With a Father’s Heart”). As you also know, in the Bishop’s recent Pastoral Exhortation, Bishop Frank announced that he will consecrate the people of the Diocese to the protection and intercession of Saint Joseph during a solemn celebration of Holy Mass on March 19th at Saint Augustine’s Cathedral inBridgeport at 7:00pm. The Diocesan Mass will be “live- streamed”. The Bishop has asked each Pastor to celebrate a Mass at the same time, consecrating our parish to St. Joseph. I invite you to join me at 7:00pm, on Friday, March 19th to celebrate St. Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church.

I am attaching for you a copy of the nine day novena (Click Here) in preparation for the consecration. You can join in the novena each evening (March 10-18) at 7pm. on the Diocesan website.

Peace, Msgr. Ryan
