Dear Friends,

We need to begin our discussion about our parish traditions. Thanksgiving is November 27th and Advent begins on the weekend of November 29/30.Thanksgiving morning mass will be at 9am and we are asking you to bring a canned good for our food collection. Advent begins on November 29/30; we will need volunteers to light the parish Advent Wreath at mass during Advent. We will be announcing next week The Christmas Giving tree program. As Advent begins, we will be replacing the missalettes for the new liturgical year. Please assist us when we ask for volunteers.

Peace,

Msgr. Ryan

Dear Friends,

As the winter months and weather are approaching, we would like to establish “calling post lists to notify you of weather cancellations. Your group leaders will be asking you to share your name and phone number. We will create lists like “morning Mass”, “Rosary Group” and other groups . Please contact your group leader to have your name and number added.

Dear Friends,

November 2nd is All Souls Day. The day prayerfully asks us to remember the Faithfully Departed. One way for us to do so, is to visit our family burial sites and spend a few moments of prayer. Here is a prayer that can be said, “Almighty ever-living God, you rule both the living and the dead and are merciful to all. We humbly beseech you, that those for whom we pour out our prayers may obtain pardon for their sins through your tender mercy. May they rejoice together, be blessed in your sight, and praise you without end”.

Peace,

Msgr. Ryan

Dear Friends,

I have had some questions regarding masses next weekend. The Diocesan Office for Liturgy gave us clarification this week. When All Saints Day falls on a Saturday. The Holy Day is not an obligation. The mass propers will be prayed at. the 4pm mass on November 1st. The masses on Sunday will be the mass propers for All Souls Day. Any of these masses will fulfill your Sunday obligation.

Peace,

Msgr. Ryan
